Staff Selection
- Receipt and culling of applications
- Arrange initial interview
- Short list candidates from initial interviews
- Checking of references
- Second interviews with management on the selection panel
- Arranging an Unpaid Trial for certain positions (e.g. Cellar)
- Offering positions – clearly defining 3 month probation period and other relevant information detailed verbally and in a Letter of Offer

- Designing a Letter of Offer
Itemised Uniform Log for each employee
- Employee Contract
- Written acceptance of Policies and Procedures Manual
- General correspondence letters pertaining to candidates being unsuccessful or successful

Training and Assessments
- Induction training
- Mentor/Buddy program
- Customer Service - covering all areas in the Club
- Seeking out and arranging required training such as RSA, RCG, OH&S, Train the Trainer, Workplace Hygiene and Food Handling, etc.
- Workplace Assessments to take place during and at the completion of the 3 month probation period
- Duty Manager Facilitation Workshops
- Focus Groups – involving staff discussing various issues
- Compiling a Training Matrix for ongoing training
Performance Management
- Creating and Implementing Performance Appraisals
- Designing a File to Note system
- Providing the opportunity for staff to verbally meet with human resources personnel to discuss concerns, suggestions, etc.
- Develop with Duty Managers and Senior Management their roles when dealing with:
- Conflict
- Counselling
- Discipline
